Backend Developer (Mid & Senior Levels)

Genomcore is transforming how genomic and clinical data are processed and delivered. Our Platform as a Service (PaaS) supports healthcare professionals through secure, scalable tools in a hybrid cloud environment powered by AWS and Azure.

What You’ll Do

Service Architecture & Development: Design and build microservices with Node.js to power our healthcare and genomics workflows.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with frontend engineers, DevOps, and product teams to deliver end-to-end features.

Data & Integration: We connect our platform to external systems using REST APIs and work with SQL and NoSQL databases.

Performance & Scalability: Optimize services for high throughput, responsiveness, and fault tolerance.

Quality & Security: Follow best practices for testing, monitoring, documentation, and data protection.

Our Tech Stack
Node.js, NestJs, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Kafka, REST APIs, Docker, Git, and Azure/AWS-based infrastructure.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience building backend applications in production with Node.js.
• Solid understanding of relational and non-relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL and MongoDB).
• Experience with REST APIs and microservices architecture.
• Professional proficiency in Spanish and English.
• Comfortable working in a remote and collaborative environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with event-based systems like Kafka.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD workflows.
• Experience working with scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure).
• Deep knowledge of both relational and non-relational databases, preferably Postgres and MongoDB.
• Deep knowledge of microservice architecture.
